It's day #70 of our 2017 Australia Tour and for this food challenge I'm at the Willow Glen Center location of Amato's Cheese Steaks in San Jose, California just south of San Francisco. San Jose is the hometown of both Matt Stonie and Joey Chestnut. I will be trying to defeat their 24" Cheesesteak Challenge and finish everything within the 1 hour time limit. Amato’s 24″ Cheesesteak Challenge ($33):
– A 24″ cheesesteak broken up into four equal 6″ sandwiches.
– It must be “The Works” with green peppers, mushrooms, and onions.
– The sandwich weighs around 2 kg total with a 1 hour time limit.
– Winners receive the meal free and a sweet t-shirt!!
– There are two Amato's locations and the challenge is available at both.
